I can't listen to that Umbrella song without envisioning that drag show in Columbus. I once heard a radio show that referred to songs stuck in one's head as "ear worms".
Emily Dickinson because
A) she wasn't so good at the poetry thing, or
B) because you can sing most of her poems to the tune of "The Yellow Rose of Texas," which is currently running through your head and making you insane, or
C) something else entirely.
better to have them run thru your head from 7 to 5 during the day, than can't sleep for the dang things to be running thru your mind from 10 PM to 5 AM, if there is a cure I would sure love to hear about it.
That's too funny! I have the same problem...currently the horrible song is 911 by Sean Kingston. I hope you don't know it so it won't get stuck in your head!
Yes, all of these songs feel like a funeral in my brain as well. Except for the mashup. I dig the mashup.
I have that problem but worse because anything you say to me might (will) trigger a random song to pop into my head and then get stuck there until it happens again. Believe me, it happens a lot.
